FG invests 300 billion in development of Satellite Towns – FCT Minister

In a bid to enhance living standards and curb rural-to-urban migration in the nation’s capital, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Wike, has disclosed that over ₦300 billion has been invested in infrastructure development and the rehabilitation of satellite towns in the FCT.

The announcement was made during the official commissioning of the Paikom-Kore-Ibwa Road in Gwagwalada Area Council.
At the event, Barrister Nyesom Wike emphasized that rehabilitating access roads in the FCT will significantly enhance living standards for residents of rural areas.

The Minister further highlighted that his administration’s commitment extends beyond road infrastructure, with rehabilitation efforts also focusing on schools, security, and healthcare facilities.

Barrister Wike appealed to traditional rulers and the youth to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, assuring them that the government is committed to delivering the dividends of democracy to all citizens.

The Minister is set to continue his series of project commissions, with the next stop being Kuje Area Council.
