Nigeria’s Under-19 Cricket Team, known as the Junior Female Yellow Greens, has received a significant financial boost of five thousand dollars from the National Sports Commission ahead of their highly anticipated Super Six clash with England today at the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup in Malaysia.
The announcement was made by the NSC’s Director General, Honourable Bukola Olopade, while addressing the team in Malaysia.
In his address, Honourable Olopade expressed immense pride in the team’s performance so far and reassured them of the nation’s unwavering support.
The Junior Yellow Greens, who are the first Nigerian team to compete at any level in a Cricket World Cup, have already impressed the cricketing world with a stunning victory over powerhouse New Zealand in the group stage.
